IDEA Public Schools held their annual Gala last night at the McAllen Convention Center here in McAllen, Texas. It was a very successful event and it was great to be in the presence of David Robinson. (I couldn't help but think about the old Mister Robinson's Neighborhood commercials that used to air when I was in high school.) David's partnership with IDEA Public Schools has generated much enthusiasm amongst IDEA's school leaders and staff. Together, they plan on opening more IDEA schools in the Rio Grande Valley as well as the greater San Antonio area.
