IDEA Public Schools Gala | David Robinson | McAllen Convention Center

IDEA Public Schools held their annual Gala last night at the McAllen Convention Center here in McAllen, Texas. It was a very successful event and it was great to be in the presence of David Robinson. (I couldn't help but think about the old Mister Robinson's Neighborhood commercials that used to air when I was in high school.) David's partnership with IDEA Public Schools has generated much enthusiasm amongst IDEA's school leaders and staff. Together, they plan on opening more IDEA schools in the Rio Grande Valley as well as the greater San Antonio area.

McAllen Hail Storm Damage | Insurance Lawyer | Rudy Canche

My buddy Rudy dropped by the house today to show me his new television commercial. Rudy was proud of his first television commercial and I told him that I'd post it on my blog because I know a few people who have been affected by the recent hail storm who have questions regarding their insurance. I also told him, half kidding, that he should have a head shot taken so people can see what he looks like. He agreed and so here you have it... Simon owns and operates La Plaza Mall, which is the Rio Grande Valley's leading shopping, dining and entertainment destination. Posada 2010

The City of Hidalgo, Ramon Ayala, and The Hermes Music Foundation presented the 11th annual Christmas Posada on Wednesaday, Dec. 15th, 2010. Turnout for the event must have been in the tens of thousands. The collaborative effort brought toys for the kids, great authentic food, live entertainment, and a great energy to the small border town of Hidalgo, Texas. Also present at the event was the best Santa Claus I have ever seen!
